South African Participants

Each participant must contact us within 5 working days of receiving your place on the programme. We will then book an economy class return ticket from your nearest (home) airport to Cape Town to arrive before 2pm on 22nd March. A return ticket will be arranged on the morning of the 27th. If you wish to change these return flights you will be responsible for any additional costs you incur.
It will be your responsibility make arrangements for getting to your home airport but you can claim public transport or one petrol receipt up to the value of R250.
Alternatively you can arrange your own air or train travel up to a maximum of R4000 (economy class only).
If travelling by car you can claim no more than two petrol receipts up to a value of R1000 dated between 20th-22nd March but not costs of parking. We will process the claims for these costs at the workshop and not after it ends.
All claims will be reimbursed from UCT by cheque after completion and approval of the claim form with attached ORIGINAL receipts. This must be submitted during the workshop event not afterwards. A cheque will be sent to the specified address on the claim form. This will take a minimum of 5 weeks to be processed.
Parking at the Protea Breakwater Lodge is on a first come basis.
Insurance
Please book any relevant travel insurance through your own universities. Making sure you have insurance cover is the responsibility of each participant. Your medical cover should be provided through your normal daily insurance cover or national healthcare provisions. This is not the responsibility of the workshop organizers
Airport Shuttle
An airport shuttle will be arranged to collect all South African delegates arriving on 22nd March on their scheduled flights arranged by the workshop team. Anyone arriving outside these times or through their own means must make their way to the hotel and will not be reimbursed for these costs. A return shuttle will be scheduled on the 27th March from the designated collection point for those using their scheduled returns.
Accommodation
Accommodation will be arranged for 5 nights at the Protea Breakwater Lodge. Most accommodation is in family style rooms where two individual lockable single bedrooms share a bathroom. You will not be asked to share this with a member of the opposite sex. Delegates who live within 10 miles of the Graduate School of Business in Cape Town are expected to stay in their own home accommodation.
Meals
Breakfast will be provided for those staying in the hotel. Please see the schedule for where other meals will be provided. Please send us a list of any dietary requirements or of any allergies so we can inform the various venues. Please carry a copy of this information with you so you can check with the venue especially if you are allergic to any particular foods.
